It has several different sized sections so you can keep everything separated, preventing necklaces etc from getting tangled up with each other. Can also be used to pack cosmetics, would work just as well for that. I have the lime green one and it is quilted. I think I'll be quite happy with this purchase. My favorite thing is that it magnatizes to itself so you don't have to waste time with buttons or strings to keep it closed. It has pockets that fits small up to large items.
